Learn the 4 Steps to get Users in China
In early May, I'll be running a series of free breakfasts,
discussing why and how companies should be looking to move into
the Chinese market.
China represents a huge opportunity for Western businesses, with
the world's largest internet population (751 million users),
rising incomes, rapidly changing demographics and spending
habits, and the world's largest online retail events.
The opportunity to gain market share in China is exciting, but
market entry into China is hard. Growing your customer base and
revenue, guided by someone who has intimate knowledge of the
market and the Chinese consumer, is the way to go.
SSW has over a decade of experience delivering technology
solutions locally in China, and knows how to 'Chinafy' a
software service to empower you to enter and succeed in the
world's most lucrative market

VIDEO: I have a container… now what? - Thiago Passos
This is not the same container 101 talk you've seen
a dozen times. The point of this talk is how to ship
a container to production, once you've built it.
We'll containerize a .NET core app, debug locally,
set up continuous deployment, set up a container
cluster and deploy to it.

.NET User Group: Journey to DevSecOps! - presented
by Danijel Malik
"Hey Dev, stop for a Sec… it's not all about Ops!"
br>Admit it! Ever since you adopted DevOps,
things are spinning way faster than you thought they
would. Tools are taking care of the CI/CD process,
an APM platform gives you insights into issues in
production, and you are fully focused on your code.
Having said that, how good is your code really? I
bet you protect your secrets, prevent XSS and SQL
Injection, use encrypted passwords, put your
websites and APIs behind HTTPS, etc., …but is that
enough? The answer is NO!
In this session, I'll guide you through the risks
your solutions are exposed to and how to fight them
by putting Sec in your DevOps process. You'll walk
away with an understanding of how to secure your
applications without compromising your pace and
ability to deliver.

|
About the presenter
Danijel is a DevOps mastermind with a
broad range of technical skills and a
deep desire to understand the client's
business first. In his career, which
includes more than 10 years of
professional experience, he has built
Desktop, Mobile & Web projects, many of
them at the Enterprise level. With an
eye on the bleeding edge technologies,
he is always one step ahead and loves
sharing his experience at user groups
and conferences. In 2013, Danijel was
awarded Microsoft MVP status for Visual
Studio ALM (now Visual Studio and
Development Technologies) for his
contributions to the community, which he
has maintained every year since.

Full Stack User Group: Building Single Page
Applications with ASP.NET Core 2.0 - Jason Taylor
In this talk, we'll look at using ASP.NET Core
JavaScript Services to build single page
applications using Angular, Aurelia, Knockout,
React, React+Redux or Vue. With this approach, you
can develop on Windows, Mac, or Linux using your
preferred source code editor. I'll demonstrate
server-side prerendering, webpack dev middleware,
hot module replacement (HMR), efficient production
builds and much more. You will walk away ready to
create single page applications using your favourite
client-side framework and ASP.NET Core.
